Successful Rookie Year @ 2016 Evergreen Drift Grassroots Championship

So our First year in real Competitive Drifting has come to and end!

The 2016 year at Evergreen Grassroots Championship was a big learning experience and with our new drift car the 350z It was a big change from drifting a lighter and more nimble 240sx!

The First two Rounds of the Championship we were limited by Stock Angle and too low of a ride height causing some unwanted tire rubbing and not enough Suspension Travel.

Before Round #3 we Raised the vehicle about 1.5 inches all around from its daily/street stance ride height it had before.    We also installed some custom Rack Spacers for the Tie Rods and Cut the Bump stops just over half their factory length.

We noticed an instant improvement in how the Vehicle handle while drifting at the fast Evergreen Speedway.    With the more Angle Tandems became alot easier and spin outs almost became non existent.

Round 1, 2 and 3     We Battled our way into the Top 32 Drivers but got taken out in the first Round of Competition.

Round 4 and 5 we really had the 350z Tamed and dialed in!  Both of these Rounds we battled our way up to the Top 8 Drivers.   We got paired up against the Season Champion Brian Girard from DriftHau5 and also a great Driver who took home 1st Place.   Gaelen from the Midnighters.  Both Drivers beat us but we did not hand them the Victory we put down some of the best runs we have all season and made them work for it!

The Final Points from the Season aren’t up yet.  But we Believe we placed 9th out of about 40 Drivers total in the Season.    We are happy with our Placement for our Rookie Year with a new Vehicle.     Next year we are planning a Formula D Spec Roll Cage and some weight reduction in the 350z!!
